This is the REAL DEAL SYNTHRAPOL. Beware of powdered imitations!

Synthrapol is truly a versatile product.

• Used together with hot water Soda Ash, it removes sizing and any other nasties from fabric prior to dyeing.
• Sometimes it is used in the dyebath.
• Mostly (and this is the best use of Synthrapol), it is used to remove excess dye from fabric, in the rinsing process.
• Some of my customers have used Synthrapol to rescue quilts when dye has run or bled.
• It is also used as a useful rinse for fabric that has been treated with BubbleJetSet and printed. It does the same job as BubbleJetSet Rinse.

As always, be aware that Synthrapol needs to be treated with the same respect you show to other dye auxilliaries.

Use gloves! It's good at removing dye, but it can also remove the skin's natural oils!
